Why Diffelen by the Sea? On July 19th, for the second time, there will be a Zeeland Day at de Vechtvallei. We are looking forward to many years of loyal customers from Zeeland who are certainly a little proud of their origins. And now, after many years of the Fishing Day, and a few years of a Frisian Day, we will have the Zeeland Day for the second time.

What’s going to happen?

A sandy beach will be created between the restaurant and the reception. You’ll enjoy the Zeeland anthem and watch the Zeeland flag being raised. With the sounds of the surf and seagulls in the background, you can relax with a delicious cup of coffee on the terrace while enjoying a sweet Zeeland bolus. Often, you'll see people searching for coins at the edges of the beach as the day winds down. We’ve gathered some treasures, and the lucky treasure hunters will have the chance to claim them. Children can team up to build sandcastles. The most beautiful sandcastles will be judged by an expert panel, and the best ones will win a prize.

Of course, Zeeland mussels will also be available for sale!
