Taste the Fisheries at de Vechtvallei!

On August 2, 2025, the 16th edition of de Visserijdag will take place!
This is truly a wonderful day for all ages! There will be a great market, a fishing square with fresh fish, and demonstrations of traditional crafts. For the kids, there will be a steam train ride and a large bouncy castle! You don't want to miss this.

There is a super fun fair with many stalls featuring beautiful items, often handmade goods. In addition to the existing playground equipment, there will also be an obstacle course and a real steam train! The traditional crafts will also be present again this year. Last year, there were a washerwoman, net maker, and the chance to decorate wooden clogs. Which craftspeople will join us this year?

The fish is really, really delicious! The fish is brought to shore on Friday by strong men from Urk, and on Saturday, the fish is prepared using traditional methods.

Stacking fish crates

Starting at 16:30, there will be a fish crate stacking competition! For children, teenagers, and adults alike, it’s a fun way to end this fantastic day!
